A performance regarding the interaction and manipulation of CCTV
Images were captured live using the iPad application ‘Ispy Cameras’
An app which allows you to view and control thousands of public video cameras from around the world in real time.
This is a web cam directed at the entrance of O’Sheas hotel mounted above a call shop on Talbot St. This was the stage to my fellow peers who I invited to watch as I attempted to interact with people and the area itself.
The watchers were comfortably at their studios in college as they observed. I allowed the voyeurs to command my actions by telephone and listen in on conversations.
From where I stood I counted 16 cameras surrounding me, of these,
there was just one which I knew had numerous eyes watching behind it.
